: Secondary Education to Become Compulsory ‎for Girl-Child – Aisha Buhari

Amiable wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, says the Federal Government is considering a law that will make it compulsory for every girl child to attain at least secondary school education.

Mrs Buhari stated this at the Nigerian Institute of Management’s, NIM, Women-in-Management‎ and Leadership Conference in Abuja.

The wife of the president further explained that the Bill would receive inputs from women nationwide and put forward to the National Assembly.

It would be facilitated by the Federal Government through the free education policy.

“Education changes the outlook of a person and drives away poverty of the mind and the pocket. An educationally empowered girl child of today is the women professional of tomorrow” she said.

Mrs Aisha Buhari, was represented by the wife of the Nasarawa State Governor, Mrs. Mairo Al-Makura.
